HB 2999    RELATING TO THE RIGHT TO FARM                 ECD, JDC
HD2 SD1    Amends definition of "farming operation" to include
(SB 3194   silviculture; permits a finding that a farming
SD2)       operation is not a nuisance to be based on substantial
        compliance with pertinent regulations; and requires
        the award of court costs and attorneys fees for
        frivolous lawsuits relating to use of farm lands.
        (SD1)

HB 2774    RELATING TO DISCRIMINATION IN PUBLIC PLACES   HHS, JDC
        Makes it discriminatory to attempt to deny the full
        and equal enjoyment of the goods, services,
        facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations
        of a place of public accommodations to a woman because
        she is breastfeeding a child.

HB 2716    RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS                      GOH, JDC
HD1 SD1    Authorizes an association of apartment owners to
(SB 2527   assess the purchaser of a delinquent or foreclosed
SD2)       apartment for unpaid assessments.  (SD1)

HB 2582    RELATING TO ADMINISTRATIVE RULES              GOH, JDC
HD1 SD1    Provides an expedited process for the repeal of
(SB 2923)  obsolete or unauthorized administrative rules.
        Repeals administrative rules that are unnecessary or
        obsolete.  (SD1)

HB 2088    RELATING TO PROCUREMENT                       GOH, JDC

 
 
HD1 SD1    Prohibits a person making an expenditure (in addition
        to those making a contribution) to the Governor,
        Lieutenant Governor, or any Mayor, County Council
        member, non-candidate committee or political party
        from receiving a contract from the State or any county
        for one year from the availability of the contract,
        including subcontracts.  Includes immediate family
        members under this prohibition.  Imposes penalties for
        violations of this section.  (SD1)

24 hours prior to the hearing. Testimony may also be faxed if
less than 5 pages in length, to the Senate Judiciary Committee

24 hours prior to the hearing.  When faxing, please indicate to
whom the testimony is being submitted, the date and time of the
hearing, and the required number of copies needed for submittal.

If you require special assistance or auxiliary aids or services
to participate in the public hearing process (i.e., sign language
interpreter, wheelchair accessibility, or parking designated for
the disabled), please contact the committee clerk 24 hours prior
to the hearing so arrangements can be made.
